Arushi studied Computer Science at NYU, where she also co-founded the Effective Altruism at NYU group. Before this, she worked as a tech product manager. She also started a global health nonprofit in India, and has done research for Charity Science Health. She is also very interested in public policy and politics and how EAs can make an impact in that space. Arushi has experience in computer science, political activism, community building, and non-profit entrepreneurship. She is also always happy to chat about people’s careers (she often trawls through job boards for fun)!
Rocky studied Science, Technology & Society at Vassar College, where she first learned about Effective Altruism. She has spent the past eight years working in animal welfare and currently serves on the board of a small nonprofit. Rocky has experience in charities big, small, established, and brand new and she's happy to share her insights on nonprofit operations and governance, communications and education, and grassroots organizing. She loves editing resumes and talking through real-world ethical conundrums!
